Residue Notes

The notebook

About these notes

Residue Notes is an unaffiliated editorial notebook of short research notes on peptides and related compounds.

A note says what a catalog name refers to, which receptor or sequence class the papers discuss, and what kind of experiment that literature actually ran. Methods notes cover how to read a listing, a name, or a certificate of analysis. Assay notes say what a common readout measures. The first sentence is the answer. The rest stays under a few hundred words.

The notebook does not give doses, preparation steps, or advice about human use. It does not make disease, clinic, prescription, longevity, or physique claims. Titles use the catalog name. Finished-drug brand names stay off the title line, which is why a triple-agonist listing is filed as GLP-3R rather than under a brand.

When a compound note matches a clear research-catalog page, it links there. If the path is not clear, the link is the catalog index. Those links are pointers. This site does not sell compounds, and it is not the supplier.

The home page opens with compound and methods notes. Buyer questions stay in the archive and on the topic index. How a note is written is on the editorial standards page.
